My cousin had a dream, one that would elevate his family in Zimbabwe to a more comfortable way of living. He sold all his possessions so he could pay a whopping £,£££.££ in order to get a sponsorship visa so he can enter the UK and work as a care assistant. The care agency has been his only employer since entering the UK a year ago, however, in the last few months this agency has been one of many that is now oversubscribed with carers and under-subscribed with clients that need care.
The impact of this means that many people like Owen are now scrounging for shifts in a market that is flooded with carers, and their employers are unable to fulfill their contractual obligations of providing them with full time hours of work. The domino effect has put Owen in a position where he he unable to rent a room on his own, pay bills and put food on his plate, let alone, support his family in Zimbabwe. So much so, he is now on the cusp of being homeless, this appeal will help him and a friend, in the same position, to put down a deposit on a twin room where they can share the costs between the two of them, and hopefully keep afloat during the cold winter months.
Failing this, they could both end up homeless in the coldest months of the year. Please help in any any way you can, and help restore faith humanity.
