McDonalds House
This is a 60 room ‘Hotel’ at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool which provides rooms free of charge to anyone who has children staying at Alder Hay with all funding raised by donations.
JUMP – Jacobs Unique Memory Pot
Jacob died of Muscular Dystrophy aged 3. His family formed the charity which loans cameras and video equipment to sick and disabled children and their families. They provide professional photographers for special events and can arrange for portraits to be painted.
CHICS
This is a local charity based at Alder Hay Children’s Hospital. They arrange trips for the children and their families, taking an oncology nurse with them from the hospital who knows the children. They have an annual BBQ and trips to Theme Parks and Blackpool etc.
Donna’s Dream House
Based in Blackpool providing free holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Sands
Sands works to support anyone affected by the death of a baby; improve the care bereaved parents receive; and create a world where fewer babies die
