• After having two boys, I decided to give up my dream career of cabin crew to spend more time at home. This allowed me to spend those precious moments of their first few years with them whilst also working part time in an office job. However, I have struggled to seek satisfaction from any part time jobs I have had, as I have not been able to express any creativity. Finding suitable working hours around childcare is extremely difficult. Therefore, I have decided to venture into something new, exciting and creative. A business I can call my own, a passion and a purpose for my creative nature. After researching various markets, I believe that this will work around my family's busy schedules and lifestyle whilst role modelling for my children, entrepreneurship and hard work. I am seeking funding which will allow me to learn a new skill in candle making. There are two business models. One goal is to sell candles at beach destinations around the UK and ecommerce via etsy.The beauty about these candles is that they will be made from coconut wax which are the most eco-friendly type of candle to produce. They are non-toxic and burn cleaner because coconut wax emits no smoke and is soot-free. The aim of the project is also to create zero waste. As well as being safe for the planet, scented candles create a soothing atmosphere and help boost your mood, while also calming your mind and relieving stress. There will be two fragrances to begin with: garden and beach.
