To provide children with quality affordable music and performing arts teaching in the South of England. Promoting confidence and resilience

by Raiders Performing Arts in Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom

At Raiders Performing Arts our ethos is to make music and performing arts teaching affordable to all children regardless of background, ethnicity, religion or ability.

We work with children age 4-18 on an entirely voluntary basis, to teach them to be part of a community marching band which consists of brass, woodwind, percussion, static percussion and colourguard.

Our vision is to give the activity longevity for many years to come. To provide somewhere for children to come to for music and performing arts teaching, which they can afford, and to provide them with the tools needed to be able to participate, such as instruments and uniforms.

We work with all abilities, and provide free places for Ukrainian war displaced children too. No one is turned away, and everyone is welcomed with open arms.  The children involved come from all backgrounds and work together as a group to produce the music and performances.  They learn resilience, team work, and gain confidence from being part of the group.  Music provides an excellent boost to their mental health, and being part of Raiders gives them a very valuable club to attend away from school in their spare time.

Any monies raised via this page will be used to support the children with their activities. Our rental costs for the school facilities that we use are in excess of £7,500 per year, which we fundraise to cover, and along with this, our performing arts section are hoping to compete in the Winter on the Winterguard UK circuit.  This involves travel and a need for uniforms and equipment, which we need to fundraise for.  Proceeds from this page will also go towards these costs.

Over £200 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
