Running a Sanctuary is not for the faint hearted.. the hard work and emotional toll taken by animal rescue is big. But the animals we save make it all worthwhile.
Over the years, we have saved over 7,500 lives in need. Many of these were destined for the slaughterhouse, unwanted and cast aside. We currently have almost 100 animals under our care, from the big horses and pigs, to the little ferrets and hens. We have promised them sanctuary, safety and respect
We rely solely on the donations of our incredible supporters, and the occasional bit of grant funding. We genuinely could not do what we do without you.
Right now, we need your help.
We have been hit with a huge feed bill of £1141.64, plus a vets bill of £289.15. We also have some upcoming fencing work to improve our pig homes, which will cost £800+ for materials, and £900 for labour.
As we are not a commercial business, we do not make a profit from anything that we do here. So meeting these costs is a challenge, and sometimes we have to ask for help to care for the incredible individuals currently with us.
Animals like Mara the turkey, who came to us mere days before her siblings were sent to be killed for Christmas. Heartbreakingly, she only stayed with us for 2 months before her weak body gave in. But your support allowed her to know freedom and love in her final weeks.
Animals like Freya the pig, who was born here at the Sanctuary, after her pregnant mum arrived the day that she was due to be shot. She had been loose with her two friends and someone was booked in to come to kill them. Freya and her siblings have only known happiness, freedom and respect.
If you are able to spare any pounds or pennies, please, donate to the Sanctuary and help us to continue to care for these incredibly worthy individuals, and more like them.
They need us. Help us to offer a place of safety.
Thank you
PTF
