Proper Job is an environmental charity dedicated to reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Our vision is to foster a protected and preserved natural environment, empowering local communities to take meaningful action against waste. By conserving resources, we aim to create a healthier and more resilient community for everyone. Established in 1995, Proper Job is proud to be one of the UK’s pioneering community reuse centres, located on the northeast edge of Dartmoor in Devon. We strive to minimise the unnecessary disposal of materials through education and engagement, encouraging sustainable practices within our community. At the Resource Centre you can purchase everything from second hand bathtubs, crockery, clothing to garden furniture and construction materials at a significantly reduced price. This not only helps you save money but also contributes to a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
