To develop a discreet, trauma-informed digital tool that supports people in unsafe situations without drawing attention.

Inclusive Integrations: Project Ember - A discreet digital tool for people navigating unsafe situations.

The Problem

For many women and girls, unsafe situations don’t just happen behind closed doors, they’re part of daily life.

Even finding space to reflect, record, or seek help can feel risky. Most digital tools aren’t built with this in mind. They assume safety, privacy, and autonomy are already in place. For many, they’re not.

We believe people shouldn’t have to wait until things are safe to start protecting themselves - or to be heard.

Our Response: Project Ember

Project Ember is the code name for a discreet digital tool designed to support people in high-risk personal situations. On the surface, it appears completely ordinary - something familiar and unremarkable. But behind that, it offers carefully designed functionality to help users engage, reflect, and regain control. (A safety app that doesn't look like or advertise itself as a safety app.)

We aren’t sharing screenshots, feature lists, technical details or even its real name - and that’s intentional.
Discretion isn’t just part of the approach - it’s part of the protection. The safety of future users depends on Ember staying quietly functional and easily overlooked.

What we can say is this:

Ember is being built with lived experience, trauma-informed design, and care. It offers private, real-world support for moments when visible support may not be safe.

Why We Need Your Support

Project Ember is already in development. Early design work has shown the need - and the potential. But to build it properly, we need your help.

Your support will allow us to:

  • Develop Ember with a strong focus on safety, privacy, and usability.
  • Consult with survivors and frontline workers during the design process.
  • Work with digital security experts to ensure robust protection.
  • Provide the final tool free of charge, through discreet and appropriate channels.

This isn’t a commercial app. It’s not built for scale, marketing, or headlines.
It’s built to quietly exist - for the people who need it most.

Who We Are

Inclusive Integrations is a small, community-led team using technology to close real-world gaps in access, dignity, and autonomy.

This project was initiated by a close friend of the team who wishes to remain anonymous. It’s now being developed by people with backgrounds in social care, safeguarding, technology, community work, and systems design.

We believe everything we build should begin with listening - and end with something people can actually use, safely.

Join Us

Help us bring Project Ember to life - a discreet tool for people in unsafe situations.
It doesn’t draw attention to itself. That said, if this has resonated with you, please share our Crowdfunder - and help it reach those who can help us make this real.

Your support will help us build it safely, distribute it carefully, and offer it freely.
