We operate Project40Seven, a grassroots Community Hub providing much needed, services and facilities to those most in need within our area.

Through our Social Supermarket, Uniform Exchange, Library of Things, Community Café, Community Allotment, Craft Camps, courses, drop in sessions, events both large and small and much more, we strive to ensure that the 3000+ individuals who make use of us from a 650km2 region of the East Suffolk Coast are able to access what they need 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

And we do this in a relaxed, comfortable way that means every single person that comes through our doors can do so with their head held high and their dignity intact.

We're all volunteers here, not a single one of us is paid for what we do. In fact most of us are here because we ourselves are or were in need of something we offer!

Since opening our doors we've been able to provide over £150k worth of food and household goods through our Social Supermarket, we saved roughly 22 tonnes of food stuffs from going to landfill, grown over 8000 meals worth of fruit and veg in our allotment, supported 5 individuals back into employment through our volunteering scheme, helped 9 rough sleepers, supported and worked with 14 other community groups and organisations and much, much more.

Now, don't get us wrong, we would love it if we could close, if there were no further need of us. Unfortunately however, the need continues to grow. We see more people unable to put food on the table, cloth their children or heat their homes, more struggling with isolation, loneliness and depression. In the uncertain times many of us face and the cost of everyday life increasing, the services we provide and the volunteers fighting to improve life for those at the end of their tether are struggling to keep up with demand.
