At Operation Angel Food, our mission—Project 1111—is to build 11 community gardens specifically to provide fresh, organic food for the homeless and those in need.
For some time, I’ve been on a personal journey to create hidden allotments around my community, offering free, healthy organic food. While it’s been a fulfilling endeavor for me, I’ve come to realize that many in my community are not as fortunate. People here struggle daily, uncertain where their next meal will come from.
That’s why I’m launching this campaign in Phase 1—to secure the seeds, soil, and flower pots necessary to start these gardens. This is the critical first step in creating 11 dedicated gardens that will serve as a lifeline for those in need. These gardens will not only reduce the costs of providing food to the homeless but will also offer a consistent source of nutritious, fresh produce.
Over the past three weeks, I’ve documented this journey and built a passionate community eager to bring this project to life. With your support in Phase 1, we aim to raise £111.11 to purchase the essential resources needed to kickstart this project. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to a future where everyone in our community can access the food they need.
Once Phase 1 is complete, we will launch Phase 2, focusing on preparing the land and planting the gardens. This will be a separate fundraiser, during which we will offer exciting rewards to thank our backers for their support.
