I’m Trevor Wain — a paramedic based in Lincolnshire with over a decade of experience on the front line. I’ve seen firsthand how precious every second is during an emergency, especially in rural areas where ambulance response times are longer. That’s what inspired me to launch Project W.A.I.N (Wide Area Intervention Network) — a not-for-profit start up mission to use drones to deliver life-saving equipment like defibrillators and catastrophic bleed kits faster than ever before.
Right now, it’s just me leading the charge — but I’ve had support from communities, schools, and even military groups who believe in the power of this idea. With your help, I want to build and equip a network of rapid-response drones, strategically placed in rural hubs, ready to launch the moment help is needed.
The money you donate will go directly towards:
- Purchasing and configuring emergency-grade drones
- Equipping them with medical kits (AEDs, bleed kits, etc.)
- Securing insurance, software, and regulatory permissions
- Outreach and education in communities we aim to protect
This isn’t about replacing ambulances — it’s about getting life-saving gear on scene faster, buying time until the professionals arrive. My long-term vision is to see Project W.A.I.N scaled across rural areas nationwide, filling a critical gap and potentially saving hundreds of lives.
Together, we can quite literally save lives from above.
