Project the Dolls - Gender Affirming Photoshoots

Aim: To celebrate and showcase trans women and men in the UK, who Supreme Court rulings wish to oppress, through gender affirming photoshoots.

What IS Project the Dolls?

As transphobic legislation by the UK Supreme Court threatens the quality of life for trans people and transphobia is on the rise in the UK; we at Project The Dolls want to show the Trans community that they are seen, loved, wanted and deserve to be celebrated!

Project The Dolls aims to fund gender affirming photoshoots for Trans women, Trans Men and gender non-comforming people.

What DOES Project The Dolls hope to achieve?

- Help give moments of joy and gender euphoria.

- To create a safe space for people to express their gender identities where they may not be able to do in their daily lives.

- To actively show that allies to the community that we see the community is worthy of love and their existence is valid and worth fighting for.

HOW does a donation help Project The Dolls?

Working with the wonderful Emma Stone Photo in Leeds, she'll be offering her incredible photoshoots. These are shot from the female gaze and she specialises in photography of women, LGBTQ+ people, aerial artists, and pole dancers.

These photoshoots, plus 3 fully edited images are being offered at a discounted rate of £100. 

Project The Dolls' fundraising will cover the costs of these shoots fully or partially (ideally we want to fully cover). To allow people who may not be able to access this experience otherwise.

These images will obviously be for the participants to use as they wish. We would love out participants to wish to share their images with the world to celebrate themselves, but there is no pressure here!

We also want to make sure that we are having as wide a reach as possible. So while we are Leeds based, we welcome and encourage the projection and celebration of Trans and non gender confirming folk nationwide!

WHO are Project the Dolls:

Rich/LadyHD (They/Them) - Drag Queen, PoleDancer. Loudmouth, idea goblin and copy writer behind Project The Dolls.

Katie (She/Her) - Fitness and Nutrition coach for women and LGBTQ+ people in Leeds.  The organised one who brings ideas to practicality.

Emma (She/Her) - Photography Goddess - The women who'll make the magic in Studio

Regardless of gender presentation, race, disability, sexuality, background or any other protected characteristic. There is no expectation of how you present or where you should be on your journey to be included. Project The Dolls is open to all members of the Trans and gender non-comforming community. You're ALL worthy of love, celebration and projection!
