Project Archie and friends

Aim: We aim to be able to have enough funds to open a community pet shop. Selling all natural products from local suppliers from the region.

Hi there, I'm Daniel, I live in Morecambe with my husband and we run our own dog walking business.

Our dream in our next step, is to try and open a community pet shop. With there being so many pets in the area and only the larger corporate stores around, we are missing a smaller family run local pet supply shop in the area.

The shop will sell local products from local suppliers, meaning that we will only stock and sell things made in the north west of England

The shop will also be a hub for people to socialise, such as the elderly and disabled as we aim to serve tea, coffee and cakes. We also wish to have a ball pool for the dogs to play, whilst people come to shop and socialise.

It is a business idea which was born due to our elderly dog Archie. Archie is now fifteen years old and needs varying things to help him live day to day, like doggy diapers, which in certain stores can cost an arm and leg. We aim to be local, friendly, and affordable for all of Morecambe's pets and their owners.

Any money raised will benefit us greatly. It will help to purchase the lease on a shop and help us start to stock the shop with local products, made by small businesses in the local area.
