PRIME TIME KIDS CLUB

RCN 1140465, Wareham

We run breakfast, after school and holiday clubs for children aged 3 to 12 in the Wareham and Purbeck area. We raise funds to keep fees as low as possible. We offer families a place for their children to go out of school hours that offers quality play opportunities, warmth, food and a safe environment with trusted and qualified adults to care for them.

PRIME TIME KIDS CLUB

What we do-

Prime Time's main aim is the provision of childcare for 3-12 year olds. It is our mission to provide the highest level of childcare that meets the needs of children and their carers. We aim to employ the highest calibre of staff with appropriate qualifications, to plan provision to best meet the needs of parents at the most affordable price, and to provide for the widest needs and interests of children and involve them. Our services are Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club. All with a high value placed on play work and the play work principles. Ensuring children have quality play opportunities indoors and out in a safe and homely environment. We ensure that children have a enriching and ever changing environment that ignites their natural curiosities. Last year we supported 105 children from 76 families. We also were part of the HAF programme supporting 13 children from 8 families. We had positive feedback from the HAF organisers when they visited as well as Ofsted and the Local Authority this last year. All observed children engaged, happy and safe and stated we are valued for our quality service.

Our Vision-

We want to help working families with school aged children who are eligible or in receipt of pupil premium support or HAF ( Holidays and Food) scheme to access subsided spaces at our breakfast and after school clubs to help families in our community with the cost of living crisis.

We have seen a decline in use of our out of school setting since Covid ( we believe this is due to many more parents now working from home than pre-covid). This in turn is having an impact on our families who cannot work from home ( especially key workers) as we need to increase our costs to them to keep operating. Therefore we want to achieve with our project the ability to identify families who would benefit from using out of school childcare/ struggling to afford to use it, to support their families well-being by subsiding 100 % of the cost of a session ( 10 after school and 10 breakfast club sessions per week for at least 6 weeks of the spring term) so these families can continue to work/access work whilst knowing their children are being cared for in a settling that puts children's play at his heart in a homely environment ( as recognised by Ofsted in a recent inspection, Oct 2022). Children would be offered food as part of the care at our breakfast sessions and after school sessions as well as a safe and warm place with trusted adults.
