About

My name is sandy. I am the founder and creator of Sehhat, a mental health and suicide prevention organisation. I have been campaigning for better and more inclusive resources for the Punjabi & South Asian community for many years, and this is where you can help. We cannot do what we do, without you. Without funding there is very little anyone can do. I have spent years hearing people in our community struggle on their own with their mental health and suicide experiences. The voices of those who have struggled, and family members and friends who have been affected, tell us how important it is that we break down the stigma of mental health and suicide.

I will be doing a sky dive in Dubai over the Palm Jumeirah. This is Sehhat's first public fundraiser. This fundraiser is to develop educational resources for everyone to learn about the impacts of suicide in Punjabi and South Asian communities. Talking about mental health and suicide still hold a stigma within the community, and there are very little national guidance that culturally represents the Punjabi and South Asian community. Anyone can struggle with their mental health and that's why more needs to be done to support those in need.

Your donation will enable Sehhat to develop culturally appropriate resources, so members of the public understand the importance of handling conversations about mental health and suicide conversation with sensitivity and care. The resources will be developed in English and Punjabi, with the aim to include other languages.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to build an educational resource where representation is seen, heard and felt. A legacy to be created for those who have been affected by, and died by suicide, from people who have been directly and indirectly impacted by mental health and suicide.

Your support and donation is much appreciated.
