Hello, wonderful people!
My name is Dorota, and I am here to share a story that is as sweet, funny, and touching as my journey from Poland to the UK. This is the tale of FitMyMum, a project dedicated to Empowering Postnatal Women.
In 2016, with a heart full of dreams and a suitcase packed with hope, I left Poland and set foot in the UK.
My plan? To become a Personal Trainer and make a difference in the world of fitness. Ever since, life has been a whirlwind of full-time work, solo parenting, and relentless studying. I earned my Level 2 Gym Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training, and Level 3 Pre- and Postnatal qualifications while juggling motherhood and work.
Below is a link to an interview conducted by the Academy of Fitness Professionals, where I completed my first two qualifications.

But let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. Nothing was ever easy. When my son was born, I faced postnatal depression head-on.
I had to keep going, as giving up was not an option. My son became my greatest hero and my biggest fan. He is the real inspiration behind FitMyMum.
I want to help other women tackle postnatal depression by teaching them healthy habits and routines because motherhood, while challenging, is also incredibly rewarding and no woman should suffer or feel hopeless.
By the way: this picture was taken just three months after my son was born. The sky is the limit!
My Fitness Journey
My journey with fitness began in 2007, filled with ups and downs. In 2014, I competed in a Fitness Bikini Competition, an intense chapter that taught me a lot about my strengths and weaknesses.
Now I am a proud member of the Chartered Institute of the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). My several qualifications ensure I uphold the highest standards of practice.
Vision for FitMyMum
My vision is to weave postpartum fitness and nutrition into the fabric of women's lives, creating a supportive online community uniting women across the globe. With my unique holistic approach, I can help them forge a powerful connection between physical activity and mental health.
This is a sneak peek at my website, which is connected to an online coaching software. This software enables me, as a Trainer, to manage a large number of clients efficiently. It is a highly effective way of working for both me and my clients.
