On the 7th July 2021 we'd raised £6,000 with 22 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Any fundraising money raised above & beyond our initial target of £6000 will be invested towards the refurbishment of the PPCC Home & Away changing & showering facilities, again a very worthwhile investment for all of our community members to utilise and benefit.
At Porthill Park Cricket Club our vision is that we will come out of the Covid CV-19 pandemic darkness with true British grit & determination and make our great proud club even better & grander. The committee members are currently working tirelessly to ensure that this vision is achieved, over the past number of months our clubhouse kitchen facilities have been transformed and other facility enhancing improvements have taken place to ensure that with your help our vision of having a community club that we can all be proud of and together we will spring back from this pandemic even stronger.
Over a number of years we at PPCC have received very commendable feedback regarding the hospitality that we and our clubhouse provides, not only on matchdays but also the additional hospitality events that we provide for our community members, family events like birthdays, engagements, funerals, wedding receptions, beer festivals, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) events, The Nathan Butler Memorial Fund, The Jack Dulson Memorial Fund and even the local election voting/polling stations (our function list proudly goes on & on). Our event feedback has always been very good, however one standout negative has always been that our toilet facilities are clean but they are certainly well past their best, therefore the time for talking is done and now is the time for action.
Our crowdfunding project entails raising partial funding of £6,000 for a project to fully restructure & refit all of our Ladies, Gents & Disabled toilet facilities and provide larger, cleaner, more sterile facilities worthy of OUR superb community club.
Our club changing project is of a large undertaking of which in total will cost approximately £23,000. We have been very fortunate in that we have worked extremely hard with our community partners of who have recognised our good work over the years and as a result have supported us massively via grant funding. These partners are yet again willing to support our proposed facilities project with the remaining £17,000, however we as a club will still need to raise a target amount of £6,000 of which we strongly believe can be achieved over the next six weeks via this crowdfunding page.
This crowdfunding (£6,000) in conjunction with our partners grant funding (£17,000) will reach our desired total of £23,000 to invest into completing the entire Ladies/Mens/Disabled & Umpires Room re-siting project to enhance YOUR club.
Upon realisation of all funding the project works are expected to commence in October 2021 for a duration of six weeks.
We hope that you are able to support our much needed project via any means that you can, this may be via individual financial support or alternatively you may wish to undertake for instance a sponsored bike ride or a family walk in which to raise funds to contribute towards the project, again the potential initiatives are endless. Whether your contribution is great or small we would like to say a big thank you for supporting YOUR club.
Any money raised above and beyond the £6000 will then be invested towards the refurbishment of the Home & Away changing facilities, once again for all of our members to utilise and benefit.
We all understand & fully appreciate that the last 18 months have been very difficult for all of our communities but we are determined that we as a community club will bounce back stronger than ever, therefore on behalf of all at Porthill Park CC can we please take this brief opportunity to say a massive thank you for your ongoing support and for taking time to consider our project, also may we wish you and your families all the very best health for 2021.
PPCC Committee.
