Ellie-mais Cafe was bought 6 months ago, we are a young couple who have been managing the cafe day to day since the purchase and are looking to buy the cafe and expand the business, we aim to provide food for the community and offer somewhere for people to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle. The community have shown spectacular support for our venture and we would like to use the supporting locals to offer and provide meals for the vulnerable people within the community. We spend much of our time thinking up ways we can support the community and with support, we can provide such a service, we love the idea of meals on Wheels providing vulnerable people with home-cooked food delivered to their door, either serving discounted meals to those eligible or bringing food to the doors of those who have mobility issues and therefore struggle to provide sufficient meals for themselves.
A little snip about me (Luke) and my partner (Abby). My main occupation over the years has been agriculture, managing mixed and livestock farms for a decade. I'm excited about opening a cafe and have aspirations to produce foods from livestock and arable land in the future to supply Ellie-mais Cafe sustainably and ethically. On the other hand, Abby is an incredibly hard-working individual with the drive to start a business and build a life helping others and after running her family cafe over the last 5 years she has the experience to add. Together we make a dynamic team, tackling challenges head on and doing our best to provide a great service for the community.
