Reaching our £20000 target helped secure the future of our Festival. Going beyond that to £30000 and above will help us plan ahead with more confidence and address the extra costs incurred due to Covid and the need for future festivals to be 'Covid-Secure'
PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR FESTIVAL GOING
Sadly we've had to postpone our 2020 Wickham Festival to 2021. Boo! A year's planning for our 15th Festival and now we're having to re-arrange everything for 2021. And it's not easy. Wickham is an award-winning Festival run entirely by volunteers on a 'not-for-profit' basis. We don't take a penny for ourselves. All our ticket income is ploughed back into making our lovely Festival even better. Which is all good until a global pandemic comes along. Then we have a problem. We've already spent over £50,000 on this year's Festival - printing, advertising, publicity, website design, subscriptions, accountancy fees etc. Plus another £100,000+ on artists & infrastructure deposits. Some of that can be rolled-over to 2021. But much of it can't be recouped. Which leaves us with a cash-flow problem especially as we're also having to refund those ticket-holders unable or unwilling to rollover their tickets to next year. And because we run on a 'not-for-profit' basis and plough all revenues back into the Festival we love, we have very little in reserve to tide us over to next year. Which is why we're here. We need YOUR support to help us survive and pay the bills until tickets for next year's Festival start selling again at their usual rate. Anything you are able to give will be used 100% on ensuring our Festival survives and returns next year bigger & better than ever before.
