We're still collecting donations
On the 18th May 2020 we'd raised £110 with 4 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Due to Covid-19 - Cafe Fresh - has been hit hard. We are wanting to raise funds to help keep the shop ticking over for the next 3/4 months.

INTRO
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive like our little beautiful Cafe. We are a very small enterprise, but play a huge part in the local community. Cafe Fresh is a cafe for everyone.
BACKGROUND
Launched in Jan 2015 by owners Chris & Phil - The cafe has grown and gone from strength to strength, winning local awards, high reviews on social media platforms and trip advisor. We employ a small team of 5 local people, our staff love working for us and they all pull together to help the cafe and it would be devastating in if we had to let them go in the future. Our staff are protected by the Furlough scheme which is a great help to them and ourselves.
The cafe/pub industry will be the last in the line of businesses to re-open due to the social gathering and distancing measures, our cafe is only small so implementing these measures would initially reduce of table covers and then leads on to a reduction in sales.
WE NEED YOU HELP.
We are wanting to raise funds to keep our dream and community cafe alive for at least another 3 months. Our cafe is very important in the village as it helps everyone and more so for the vulnerable customers who come in as they feel safe, can socialise due to them been either lonely or want to help feel good. Our cafe raises lots of monies through charity events every year, including - Great North Air Ambulance, Children in Need, local sponsors of community based events.
HOW THE FUNDING WILL HELP US.
All funds raised will help keep the business ticking over as we are fully closed until further notice. Also the funds will help into council fee's for applying to extend our opening hours for evening meals, which is something we have been trying to do for the past 2 years. We are also wanting to refresh the interior to give it a facelift and also convert the upstairs of our shop in to a additional seating and the creation of setting up a small gift shop which will be a big asset in the village and also customers of the cafe.
Some of the funds will go towards the updating of our extraction system in our kitchen and we are wanting to install filters to help eliminate odours outside.
No business big or small has unlimited funds, as seen in the media over the last few months! Been a small business is even harder, if our door is not open we don't make any money or provide any service. Year after year we have ploughed in the profits to the cafe to make it how it is today. As owners outside of the cafe we both have our own paid jobs which we carry out for our own personal measure to help save the business money. Every penny raised through this will be greatly appreciated in every way possible.
