In a world where 500 million people globally experience period poverty a month, Pleasantri envisions a future where access to menstrual products is a right, not a privilege. We believe that access to sanitary products is a fundamental prerequisite for the growth and development of women.
Pleasantri is a social enterprise start-up focused on eliminating period poverty in schools and universities across the UK and India through intentional advertising.
We aim to revolutionise the use of packaging space on sanitary pads by turning unused space into prime advertising real-estate, generating revenue for our dual-purpose initiative.
This will be a self-sustaining model, with profits being reinvested into the production and distribution of our sanitary pads to young women. However, we are at the early stages of developing relationships with clients and need an initial funding to sample products, and aid establishing the organisation.
The initial products we produce with this funding will be distributed through donation drives in the Bristol area.
