Play and Party Zone and job creations

Who are we: Gingersnaps parties is a small business run by a loyal team of family and friends offering opportunities to the people of the Mansfield area that is different to many other companies. Over the past 6 years we've offered play sessions, mini conventions, birthday party magic, entertainment visits to the elderly and so much more. We succeed in this by offering events/sessions & parties with a difference or as we like to call it a bit more magic and attention to detail. Over time we have established that is there anything we dont do?! 

Our loyal team has been built over the years by offering them opportunities to grow in themselves and bring ideas to the table giving themselves a feeling of comfort and importance to the company. To us the staff are not just a number but are infact a family and this is reflected in reviews left by our staff and customers.

What we wish to acheive 

• Playarea 

An aim we at Gingersnaps wish to acheive is to have our own building "a one stop shop" for everything, a place near the town centre where single parents can drop off their children in confidence to play and be monitored, parents can bring their children to play whilst they simply sit and enjoy refreshments and chats with other parents in a comfortable cafe area. It sounds a lot like other playareas but its not because our playtimes will be different everyday one day they could be crafting with a Mary Poppins inspired character the next they could be playing in a pool pit with an Elsa inspired character. 

• Kitchen/Cafe/Milkshake Bar 

We hope to run a cafe/milkshake bar for parents children and teenagers.

• Mental health support drop-in

At Gingersnaps we've all been affected by some sort of mental health issue somewhere and know how little support there is out there we would love to offer a place where parents or teenagers who are struggling can drop in and chat confidentially with a listening ear and a caring shoulder. Whether it be for PTSD/Depression/Post/Pre natal Depression or Bullying 

• Partywares 

As a party company we wouldnt just be working within the building we would be working outside hosting events or visiting parties and it would be important that we would have a "party shop" area where all party essentials can be purchased. 

• Autism Friendly / Contact Rooms 

A calm sensory room for children with autisim offering a quiet space for themselves and the family.

A private space with toys and seating area for separated families involved with 'contact arrangements' to enjoy their time with each other in comfort and safety with people on hand to chat with during difficult times 

• Character Meet & Greets

A magical area for children to meet their fictional heroes for short or long visits whether it be for them to hand in their dummy to a Princess or show their GCSE results to a Superhero. 

• Office/Storage Space 

Gingersnaps are going from strength to strength expanding on inspired characters every month and different event ideas, we need space to store our costumes and props and a place for the staff to meet and discuss future events or a quiet place to create our posters and advertisements, answer calls and continue to promote ourselves on websites and social media.

What will the money be invested in? What will we do to maintain the buisness?

We are confident that we are offering something that isn't heard of in the Mansfield area and believe we will maintain the buisness and will climb from strength to strength. Our play area would be open AM-PM and so will our cafe and party shop which will bring a constant flow of income.

What will it bring to the community? How many jobs would this create?

The owner, Becky, who is a single mum of two children has put her own money into fundraising for local charities and the stock. She works hard to ensure she balances being the best mum she can be but she also puts others first. The work volume is to a level now where the company is ready to expand and bring so much support to the community and individuals involved.
