Plain Ales have been brewing award-winning beers in the heart of Salisbury Plain since 2008. We would like to ensure our survival and expand our current range of products. With your valued support, we can do this!

About Plain Ales...

We are an award-winning micro-brewery situated in the heart of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, creating fine handcrafted beers using carefully sourced ingredients. 

Our devotion to producing consistently high-quality beers has earned us a wall full of awards and an ever-growing following of committed beer lovers. We are immensely proud of our unique beers but we now feel it is time to expand and adapt for the future.

The Story So Far...

What began in the double garage behind our home, quickly grew into a thriving brewery with a capacity of around 9000 pints, now supplying pubs and bars all over southern England. 

Numerous awards have followed including CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain Gold winners, CAMRA Winter Champion Beer of Britain runner up, with various other CAMRA and SIBA awards to our name.

The pandemic presented an opportunity for home beer deliveries and while our containers and boxes still prove hugely popular, we believe that a few great ideas can help us achieve greater ambitions.

Our Next Steps...

To protect our business from future lockdowns, we decided to explore some new methods of distributing our products and developing new ranges. We have three great ideas!

Our first idea is to bottle our current range of beers. Bottling will allow us to distribute the products on a national level and keeps the beer in great condition for longer periods. With Christmas around the corner, the bottling process has already begun with the first batch being released soon.

Our second idea is to develop an exciting new craft beer range, currently in the design process. While many of you are familiar with the core Plain Ales range, we have been trialling our craft beers under the banner of Kult Brewing Company. These beers embrace the craft beer movement, rather than the more traditional ales and stouts of our current range. This style of beer is more suited to being packaged in cans and kegs.

Our third and final idea is the development of a premium lager. While this may not appeal to some of our more traditional ale drinkers, I can guarantee that this will be a flavoursome and refreshing pilsner, unlike some of the more well-known brands.

These new revenue streams will open up a whole new market of online and retail outlets to further expand our brand and ambitions.

This is where you wonderful people can get involved and be part of funding these exciting new developments. You'll see our products in pubs and supermarkets and know you have been a key part of this important process. 

To put our plans into practice, we need to secure funding to purchase some new equipment for the brewery, and to cover the associated costs of bottling and canning.

You can help us by choosing from a wide range of tempting reward packages suitable for every pocket. Our packages start at £25 (less than a round of drinks) and include a variety of options such as gift packs, vouchers, brewery tours, the chance to brew your own beer, and of course, have your name forever enshrined on our Wall of Fame.
