Our Story

We are two friends in our 30s, who met at university, and we now live in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

We’ve been single for most of our adult lives, so we know first hand how incredible the single life can be, but we also know it can be a challenge.

A lot of our friends are settling down, getting married and having babies, and although we couldn’t be happier for them, it made us wonder, why does no one celebrate being single?

There is still an outdated perception that someone can only be truly happy when they are in a romantic relationship, and we know this is clearly not true. So, we’re on a mission to challenge that negative narrative and spread the joy of being single.

Our socials are designed to bring single people together in a relaxed setting and make them feel good without the pressure of dating. But that’s just the beginning, we have lots of big ideas to take this even further and we can’t wait to bring them to life. 

All businesses catering for single people are focused on finding them a relationship.

Our brand is all about celebrating single people.

We are creating a singles movement. We are on a mission to ‘make being single something to shout about’. We are not exclusively a dating business, we are uniting single people, boosting social confidence and providing opportunities to make friends, as well as potentially find romance. 

We are already running our socials for singles across Edinburgh and Glasgow and are soon branching out to London. We want to make coming to a social central to the pip experience;  making it cool to meet in real life, predominantly through effective marketing and partnerships.

We truly believe in our mission but we need some help.

We are very early on in our journey but we know with the right financial support we can take pip to the next level, create awareness and scale. We need financial backing for two key areas:

- Marketing 

- Cool, New Socials

We want to continue running our socials on a regular basis whilst trialling new ideas and creating content.
