Hello!
Welcome to Pink Sky and thankyou for choosing to learn more about supporting female offenders!
Pink Sky are a project created by women, for women. Together our team has over 10 years of experience in the mental health issues, criminal justice experiences and socioeconomic barriers to employment associated with female offending behaviour, which is entirely unique and can include issues such as self-harm, having children removed and losing jobs and homes.
Employment opportunities are the tip of the iceberg for our clients, they are also overcoming barriers such as mental health issues, probation commitments and restrictions, sentence requirements and socioeconomic factors such as homelessness, recovery and rehabilitation. It is Pink Sky's mission to support female offenders to overcome these barriers by providing training, skills and support with the aim of securing meaningful employment.
At Pink Sky we take the compassion, creativity and innovation our female clients deserve and channel it into practical and relevant support, providing the person-centred training, skills and guidance our clients can use to achieve long term, meaningful employment. We also collaborate with local businesses to break down barriers and reduce stigma surrounding offending behaviour, leading to increased employment opportunities and a place in the local community for the clients.
What your generosity will mean for our project;
- We can provide more training opportunities for women in need.
- We can reach the wider community of businesses to gain more employment opportunities
- We can rent a safe space to provide mental health support.
- We can continue to train our staff and volunteers to ensure the best support for women in need.
Your donations will directly support a female offender on the path to meaningful employment and along with it, a secure income to provide for her family, safe accommodation, opportunities to progress, increased self esteem, reduced risk of reoffending, improved mental health and reduced isolation.
On behalf of every woman in need of support right now…..thankyou!!
