The Phoenix Centre is a community hub located in a deprived area of Norwich. It is home to the Mile Cross Phoenix Children's Project, and host to a number of other events, classes, and groups. This includes a weekly food bank, with baby and sanitary products available upon request, a weekly Baby and Toddler group, a young carers group, and we run free events and activities throughout the school holidays and offer free packed lunches. The Centre also runs a 'pay what you can' Community Café, with advice sessions from organisations such as CAB, Age UK, Leeway, and Better Together Norfolk.
In an effort to support local residents we have created somewhere safe and welcoming- for those that are struggling financially, or suffering through social isolation. They can receive a healthy homecooked meal, hot drink, and partake in some prize based Bingo!
