Not as old and travelling not as far as William Shatner, 75 year old, Broadwindsor resident, Peter Davies and his daughter decided to do a 15,000 feet parachute jump for Bridport's RNA. Peter has been a full member with the RNA for a number of years and is a Trustee of Bridport Sea Cadets. Young people from our Parish and surrounding areas are welcome. Because the local individual groups diminished in size, it has become necessary for all Her Majesty's forces to come under one umbrella as the RNA, Bridport.
His daughter, Emellia is a great supporter of the RNA and was the one who suggested the parachute jump at Dunkeswell Airfield - full marks!
The RNA is of great importance to the local community, benefiting those who are in the armed forces and those who have retired from the armed forces.
An excellent place to meet with others who have served in the Falklands or those who have recenty returned from Afghanistan and other conflicts within the world. These people need our support.
Both parachute jumps have already been paid for privately and 100%* of the money raised will be given to Bridport RNA (*after Crowdfunder fees have been deducted).
Our grateful thanks to the Chairman, Charles Davis, Honoury Secretary, Robin Bickers & all committee members of Bridport's RNA who have pledged their full support for this project.
This project is also being supported by Broadwindsor.org to enable full transparency of all donations received. Please direct any queries to: [email protected]
