We're still collecting donations
On the 8th July 2024 we'd raised £336 with 20 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

I have been awarded my Research PhD place to “Investigate the feasibility of bio/psycho/socio linked to Personal Preparedness Plans for healthy ageing - (PPP).” at the University of Lincoln. I have accepted this PhD place and I started in May 2024.
These 3 subject areas (biological/psychological/sociological) are all interlinked and interdependent. My goals are to survey participants in different age cohorts to find out why PPP have not been created by people and how to address this.
An initial survey has already been done and shows that PPP are long overdue. This PhD will bring new knowledge to people enabling them to better achieve their healthy ageing. I started my career as a nurse and have seen first hand that PPP are badly needed. My background in healthcare and connected education has provided me with knowledge and experience in a very wide field of healthcare.
This Research PhD will be breaking new ground in being able to encourage, support and provide opportunities for people to take more control and responsibility over their healthy ageing.
This Doctorate will mean roughly £15k Supervisor costs. There will be Thesis writing up costs of £800. Materials, books, survey software and data collection programmes approximately £1,677. I hope you will be willing to support my endeavour with even the smallest of donations towards my PhD costs. Contingency £500. Total = £17.977. This is a not for profit endeavour.
Tax is due on all donations resulting in a GRAND TAXABLE TOTAL of approximately - £21,572 to finance.
If I am fortunate enough to over achieve £21,572, the plan is to take PPP to wider audiences in the UK.
I sincerely hope you can support me in my PhD endeavour which ultimately aims to benefit the general public and help reduce the pressures on our NHS. If you are not able to support me at this time, would you be able to pass on my story to others please?
Thank you.
With sincere good wishes - Pamela
