Peregrine's Progress is a new play in development. We have two rehearsed readings and need to cover actors' expenses and production costs.

We - Rachel (Writer), Liam (Producer) and Naz (Director) - are three creative artists living and working in Cambridge, UK. They are collaborating to work on the Research and Development of Peregrine's Progress, a new feminist play exploring family trauma written by Rachel. We have arranged two rehearsed readings of the play to invite friends, family and industry professionals to hopefully fund and support the future of the play. These readings are also an opportunity for Rachel to see her script in action to assist her in further development, and for Naz to explore different production options such as set, lighting, costume and music. We have been lucky enough to find and cast ten wonderful and committed actors to bring Peregrine's Progress to life. We are raising funds to cover their travel expenses to and from Cambridge for rehearsals, as well as to cover venue hire and other production costs (props, costume etc). We would be extremely grateful for any pennies you may have to help us on our pilgrimage to creative and financial freedom!

Plot Description:

‘You are a wanderer – a pilgrim – a mighty predator…’

Peregrine is turning 30. After a sustained absence, it is time for her to return to her family home, a place where undertows and rip currents threaten to submerge her. Her little sister is getting married, her mother won’t stop baking and there’s a weird new lodger who only eats cheese strings. Old habits die hard, and as she reconnects with people from her past, Peregrine finds herself navigating landscapes she thought she had left behind.

Peregrine’s Progress is a play in development written by Rachel whilst studying Creative Writing at UEA.
