About Us and Our Vision
We are a dedicated group of volunteers from the community of Penn & Tylers Green, passionate about keeping the community spirit of our village alive through our annual Fun Run event. Our team comprises local residents, each bringing unique skills and a shared commitment to creating memorable experiences that bind our community. As we approach the 40th anniversary of the Fun Run, our vision is to not only continue this beloved tradition but to elevate it into a grand festival that pays homage to our history and supports a cause close to our hearts.
Our Idea and Use of Funds
This year, as we celebrate this milestone, we aim to raise £10,000 to cover the essential costs of organising the event. These funds will ensure that the event remains free for all attendees whilst increasing the quality and spectacle of the entire day.
Should we be fortunate enough to exceed our initial goal, our next aim is to raise an additional £10,000, making a grand total of £20,000. Any surplus fund will be dedicated to the Lewy Body Society in memory of Elaine Cullip, a cherished member of our community and a Fun Run legend. This contribution will support vital research and offer support to those affected by Lewy Body Dementia.
Achieving Our Vision
By contributing to our crowdfunding page, you are investing in more than just a day of entertainment. You are supporting a legacy of community spirit and the fight against a disease that affects many lives. Every donation brings us closer to a successful event and a substantial donation to a worthy cause. Join us in making 40 years of the Fun Run a landmark event that honours the past and paves the way for future celebrations.
