A catalyst for environmental protection
We act as a catalyst to a network of grassroots organisations which are finding and implementing innovative solutions to environmental protection. Through targeted donations, sharing of knowledge and expertise, our goal is to provide crucial support to enable our project partners to carry out their vital work whilst maximising impact and reach. From protecting orphaned elephants in Botswana, to fighting wildlife crime in South Africa, to supporting community-managed marine protected areas in Kenya, Pelorus Foundation is driven by the immense power of collective action and community involvement.
Protecting the critically endangered pangolins in Namibia
Our current appeal is in response to an urgent request from our local project partner to help ensure the on-going protection and rehabilitation of the world's most trafficked mammal, the pangolin. Now facing extinction, pangolins are crucial for biodiversity, these gentle creatures disperse seeds and help control insects, yet tragically, are poached in the tens of thousands for illegal wildlife trade. Please help save pangolins from disappearing forever.
