Hello! We're Matthew and Katie AKA Peasoup Comedy. We've been improvising together since 2018 in various teams and shows. We've decided to take our improv relationship to the next level.
Peasoup started as a lockdown project. We would meet in parks around Newcastle Upon Tyne armed with instruments, a phone and a tripod. We did live streams and recorded improvised songs (all at a 2 metre distance from eachother!) for a number of months.
Now we're both living in the south east we've started to perform the act live at comedy clubs and improv nights. We LOVE doing this - it's our calling! And we're now developing it into a full length show which will debut at Camden Fringe in August.
We need a little help covering the costs of developing our humble 15 minute act into a high quality hour of entertainment. Once we've got the show on its feet we will make it financially viable by creating marketing materials including professional showreel, photos and touring pack so we can take this show on the road!
Your contributions will help us to cover:
- time with a director to develop and rehearse our ideas
- venue hire for rehearsals and performances
- marketing materials for our two performances at Camden Fringe
- props and music equipment
