Aim: Raising funds for essential kitchen equipment and utensils
At PEACEMEAL we have been turning food destined for waste into life saving meals since 2020.
Our meals are completely free, restaurant quality and full of fresh seasonal goodness.
We supply meals to a variety of organisations across Manchester supporting people suffering from food poverty.
This includes groups working with the homeless, food banks, schools and temporary accommodation.
All our meals are made with love by our volunteers and top head chef Reno who has worked in top restaurants across Manchester and catered for the likes of Tom Jones and UB40!
We source our ingredients from Fareshare - an organisation that redistributes food destined for waste to charities - as well as getting donations from local supermarkets and kind hearted individuals.
What we're raising money for:
Having taken a break due to the cost of energy crisis - PEACEMEAL is back in our new home at Supporting People in Need in Ardwick.
SPIN is a temporary accommodation centre for the homeless where we will be using the kitchen, making meals for their guests and the other organisations we supply.
We are fundraising to buy some essential new pieces of kitchen equipment - including a new fridge, a new oven and some new kitchen utensils. And also towards the purchase of essential ingredients.
