Paviors Grow A Mo

Aim: This year, the boys are yet again going to be attempting to grow some wild Mo's to raise money for both Men's Health (Movember) and the club
There is a close link between the Rugby Community and the yearly fundraiser of Movember. As we have over the past two years, we will split the funds we raise between the charity and the club. We have decided to use Crowdfunder as there are 0 fees, and allows us to split the funds fairly.
Why is Movember close to our hearts? Well, we have Fathers, Grandads, Brothers, Sons, Cousins, Best Friends and Team Mates that are suffering with either their Physical or Mental Health, and seeing them have to fight this battle is enough for us not to want it to happen to anyone else. Do you know;
- 1 man in 5 dies before age 65.
- 75% of premature deaths from heart disease are male.
- 4 out of 5 suicides are male.
- Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 49.
- Men between the ages of 18 and 44 are less likely to go see a doctor than women.
- 67% of men are overweight or obese.
- Middle-aged men are twice as likely to have diabetes as women.
- Men are more likely to drink alcohol to dangerous levels.
- Men are twice likely to have liver disease.
- When men do use therapy, it is at the point of crisis.
- Men are more likely to smoke
