I'd like support with costs for me to do paramedicine at uni. An important one being driving lessons, including c1 (large vehicle) lessons.

I am a 21 year old student living in Leicester.  My goal is to be a paramedic and support people, save lives and give something to the world.

This year I'll be going to study Paramedic Science at University, and am working hard to achieve lots.

A lot of costs come into becoming a paramedic. These include: driving lessons, C1 training for driving, certain equipment that won't be supplied by University (though some is already paid for).

Universities also recommend driving and having a car whilst on placement as placements can be a long distance away.

For example, if I'm placed with EMAS, I could be placed in Leicester, Lincoln, Derby, Nottingham... so they say it's good to drive as after a 12 hour shift it'd be exhausting to use public transport.

I am quite poor and I am a care leaver. So I don't have much support unfortunately.

Any support offered would be greatly appreciated and I give a warm thank you to anyone who can offer assistance.
