OUR MISSION
ZamScotEd SCIO initiated the building of a secondary school on the outskirts of Lusaka where no secondary education existed. We particularly wanted girls to benefit from an education - our charity aims to meet the UN sustainable goals to gain gender equality, quality education and to end poverty.
GENDER EQUALITY
We've achieved gender equality in that half of the 500+ students at St Columba's Day Secondary School are girls.
But many of the girls live in very rural, challenged families and can't afford sanitary protection, so they miss vital days at school each month.
PANTS TO PERIOD POVERTY
With your help, we can say pants to period poverty in 2025 - let's raise enough to buy every girl at St Columba's sanitary protection for the whole year.
Thank you for your support - the girls are passionate about reaching their goals of a good education.
