Aim
Paige has been given the opportunity to compete at the ITF World Cup in Argentina in October 2024.
The aim of this page is to raise the required funds to enable Paige to compete at the highest level to date in her career and hopefully onto greater things in the future.
Background
Paige is part of Apex Martial Arts (https://www.apexma.co.uk/) in Evesham and has been training since she was 8 years old. What started as a confidence boosting exercise has blossomed into a passion for competition.
She has won many medals and competed at the Warrior Open in March 24, narrowly missing out on a gold medal after losing to a Spanish competitor in the final.
She is a junior instructor at the club helping teach the youngsters starting their TKD journeys, many of whom idolise and respect her.
She has her sights set on the English National Team in the future and competing at this tournament will help towards that goal.
Personal
Paige is 14 years old and has trained for the last 6 years in TKD, raising through the belts and getting stronger and more confident with age and experience. What initially started as a confidence builder blossomed into her passion, she has gone from strength to strength in her discipline and continues to strive and trains hard every single day.
Paige has a few hobbies, TKD is amongst the forefront of these. Others include painting, running and reading.
She is a member of the RAF Cadets and competes in cross country running events and athletics, not only for her Squadron but for West Mercia Wing.
A proud member of the Evesham Parkrun Community but started her parkrun running journey in northern Scotland, Elgin to be precise.
A military family child, she has been raised with good morals and harbours a respect for others and is disciplined and committed in all aspects of her life.
Funding/Costs
The funding required to compete is not a paltry sum, and being under 18 she has to be accompanied by a parent. The costs are calculated together and a donation by the parents has already been added offline to reduce the value from £5000 to £3000.
This is to pay for flights, accommodation, entry fees and additional training in preparation for the competition.
