Our Story
We are a Small business based in the Midlands, UK, run by a Paramedic as a side venture. We offer various services throughout the year; we provide gritting services to local companies during the winter. For years, our trusty gritter van has braved icy roads to ensure that local businesses remain accessible and that employees and visitors can move safely without the risk of slips and falls.
However, our mission is now at risk.
The Challenge We Face
Our gritter van's chassis has succumbed to severe rot, rendering it dangerous and beyond repair. Without a functioning vehicle, we cannot provide the essential gritting services that prevent accidents and keep the Midlands moving. Additionally, our gritter unit requires new parts and powder coating to operate efficiently.
Why This Matters
Safety First: Icy conditions dramatically increase the risk of accidents. By ensuring roads and premises are gritted, we reduce the likelihood of injuries among workers and visitors.
Supporting Local Businesses: Safe access means businesses can continue to operate smoothly, even in adverse weather, benefiting the local economy.
Community Employment: Restoring our services will allow us to employ an extra driver, providing job opportunities within the community.
Our Goal
We aim to raise a minimum of £15,000 to:
- Purchase a Replacement Van: Secure a reliable vehicle to resume our gritting services.
- Refurbish the Gritter Unit: Invest in powder coating and new parts to enhance efficiency and longevity.
- Expand Our Team: Hire an additional driver to serve the Midlands community better.
