Outside-in, pay-it-forward initiatives

Aim: To provide and pay forward play sessions, support, and refreshments—ensuring all families can enjoy a welcoming, inclusive experience.

we believe every child deserves the chance to play, explore, and grow in a safe and inspiring space—regardless of their background. We're a small, passionate team based in Kendal, Cumbria, running a charity-led children's play centre focused on imaginative role play.

Our idea was simple: create a mini world where children can pretend, play, and learn, while also offering meaningful, supported work experiences for young adults with diverse needs. But more than that, we wanted to build a space where kindness flows freely—where people can pay it forward to help others access play sessions, support, and even a warm drink or snack.

With the money we raise, we’ll be able to:

• Fund free and subsidised play sessions for families, including those involved with foster care and children’s services

• Offer supported for work placements for young adults with additional needs to help cover job coach wages 

• Fund Play sessions  for schools and nursery's

• Fund and support spaces  for groups and organisations for children with diverse needs. 

• Provide refreshments and essentials for visitors who may be struggling

• Keep our space safe, clean, and creatively stocked with engaging play resources

Our vision is a community-powered centre that brings people together—young and old, parents and carers, children and volunteers—to share joy, build confidence, and pass kindness along. Every donation helps us make this dream a little more real for someone else.
