We would like to raise a Conference locally, in April or May 2022 called "Out of the Ashes" which will enable Agencies that work with Domestic Abuse Victims, to hear the Stories of those that they regularly support.  Some stories are very tragic.  But we do want to hear from these Survivors.  What they had endured, how is their life now? what were the challenges they faced?  What worked for them, what didn't work for them?  How can we support them better?

Agencies will be invited, like our Police force, our local MP and mayor, Independant Domestic Abuse Team (known as IDVA) Wlomen's Aid, Women's Refuge, Mankind. Social Workers, etc.

This will be a day's event which will allow Charites to have display boards during the morning, so others can see what services are around. Food to be provided.

Workshops - such as Understanding the Court System, Budgetting, Housing.

Our Vision is to see more and more people break out from the cycle of abuse, to understand that the abuse towards them was not their fault.  To have the confidence to seek help and not feel let down by local authorities.  To see more and more people recognise their self worth and build their confidence so that they find freedom and hope once again.  After all, there is hope and they can have a brighter future.

We accept anyone who has experienced abuse.  We also accept any background, race, religion.  If they are reaching out for support - that is what we do.  We also have a great relationship with National Agencies, like Refuge and if we are unable to meet a need, we will sign-post to someone who can help.
