Mcr's first waste food catering social enterprise!

Hello lovely supporters!

First, and most importantly, a massive thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign from all of us at the Real Junk Food Mcr team!!

This crowdfunder has been a bit of a strange one, and it’s taken us a little while to get going. We’re not experts in fundraising or marketing, and we didn’t realise until we launched, that this campaign might seem a little bit more removed to the average person than our waste food cafe and restaurant…. So to those of you who have supported us just coz you love what we do (and hopefully because you got a lovely reward for it) a huge thank you!!!

We feel like we’ve really found our feet in this campaign now, and this has inlcuded developing a range of “Sustainable Catering Packages” to allow businesses and organisations across Greater Manchester to support the set up of our new social enterprise venture, by pre-ordering our catering service. We can offer a huge range of catering options including canapés, buffets, fine dining events and more, all created using 100% food that would have gone to waste.

I’m wondering if we could ask you to help us spread the word and help us to hit our fundraising target??

It’s not necessary for supporters to have dates and numbers of events worked out, the packages can be used like vouchers or credit for either a single event, or a series of smaller events or meetings. We're also happy to create bespoke catering packages on request.

We’ve created a handy “menu” of standard packages that can be viewed HERE (and these can all be purchased as rewards on the crowdfunder site).

If you could help us to spread the word about our sustainable catering packages, and the campaign more generally to companies, organisations, and people you know through email and social media, that would be beyond great!
