To provide fun free online sessions for young and old

by Amanda and Alan Holder in Aberdare, Wales, United Kingdom

We are husband and wife (Alan and Amanda) we run fun musical sessions for 0-5 year olds in our local community and also musical entertainment for the young at heart in elderly care homes.

The 0-5 year old sessions operate under the name of Little Notes Music Club with Amanda and Alan and the young at heart under the name of Apples of Gold.  With the onset of the coronavirus we have not  been unable to go out physically into the community, so since April 1st we have been doing our sessions online.

With Little Notes we do five live sessions a week, three daytime and two bedtime sessions.   In addition, we record videos to supplement these live sessions.  We endeavour to produce four young at heart videos which the care homes can play at any time.  Our sessions are fun, friendly, interactive, educational and great for exercise.  The nighttime sessions are good for getting the children to wind down and ready to sleep.

We are aware that many care homes and many individual families do not have the funds at the present time to be able to pay for these fun sessions which help bring joy and put a bit of normality back into individual lives.  Your support and the money we raise, will allow us to offer this service free to those struggling financially and spread joy and fun to those who really need it.  Obviously we also need to pay the bills ourselves and your donations will mean that we have an income to help cover our basic living costs while we provide this important service.
