One Vision is a registered Charity. We are working hard to find solutions actively and creatively to help solve some of the most important issues our community is facing in our lifetime.
One Vision provides practical support to vulnerable individuals and families in the districts of Watford and Three Rivers. Support is provided to those who are referred by local agencies, or who self-identify as needing relief as a result of inequalities caused by food poverty and social deprivation, through the provision of fresh meals, food bags and other essential items.
Due to the increasing demand in our services, we have outgrown the venue we have been using for the last year. Our new venue, however, is lacking one key facility … a working kitchen.
In order to refit and ensure we have a functioning ‘fit for purpose’ community kitchen, we need to raise £30,000. The kitchen is at the heart of our food program and many less fortunate members of the community depend on us to provide them with fresh meals.
To us, the kitchen is not just a practical workspace. It is a hub of activity where volunteers come to learn new skills. Where some individuals who find it hard to fit into society feel comfortable and welcome. This is a space where people from all backgrounds, race and ethnicity come together for the good of the community. It is where ideas are born, and relationships fostered. It’s a benefit to all involved.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have achieved the following …
- 100,000 fresh meals delivered
- 20,000 food bags delivered
- Over 600 local families supported
- Across all Watford and Three Rivers postcode areas
One Vision is run on 100% compassion and volunteer power. Our 50 volunteers have each helped grow the charity with most having been with us since the beginning of the pandemic. They have also recognised the benefit in supporting their own mental health through volunteering and giving back to others.
Please help us to help others.
