The One Fell Swoop Project UNLOCKED came into existence last year as a response to hardship experienced by performing artists and people in Brighton as a result of the Covid 19 crisis. After performing for six weeks of weekly 24 hour Shakespeare productions, this micro festival raised a whopping £1148 for Fareshare, a local and national charity that fights food poverty.
As last year, the actors will only be told which play they are performing the evening before the performances and have just 24 hours to con their roles and rehearse in what promises to be a thrilling, live and immersive exploration of the Bard’s immortal works.
What’s more, you, the audience, will have no idea which play you’re coming to watch until you take your seats.
We will choose from
Hamlet
The Tempest
Romeo and Juliet
Richard II
The Merry Wives of Windsor
The Merchant of Venice
Love's Labours Lost
Pericles
A Winters Tale
and a mystery play.
What's it to be or not to be?
We are committed to :

The plays will be performed in the magical setting of the Sensory Garden in St Anne’s Well Gardens, Hove, on 5 weekends and one midweek event (due to the popular St Anne's Wells Gardens Tea Party) from the 24th July, 2021.
