This project can reach more lonely and isolated people.
Fragments is a brand new project for people living with dementia and their caregivers. We work in partnership with care homes to create the kind of high-quality immersive art experiences they might not otherwise have. Our goal is to provide care home residents with lasting access to a tailor-made environment they themselves have helped design - a space they can return to again and again when they need to feel grounded and reconnect with their sense of self-identity, as well as with their carers, family and friends.
However whilst we cannot do this work at the moment we are starting a free pen-pal writing scheme for the most vulnerable older people in our communities.
But we need help with resources to be able to make this accessible for as many people as possible. Our volunteer writers will be creating friendships and using the form of penmanship to offer support during this difficult winter period. So if you can spare a few pennies to support this project, we'd be eternally grateful!
