We are hoping to raise funds for a new girls changing room. We have five girls rugby teams and no suitable changing facilities for them.

On the 15th June 2023 we'd raised £3,120 with 14 supporters in 72 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Founded in 1898, The Old Alleynian Rugby Football Club is now a diverse, inclusive community rugby club based in Dulwich, South East London. We have over 600 Age Grade players (ages 6 to 18) regularly playing rugby at our club including over 100 girls. Our Age Grade players represent over 70 different local schools in London, including girls from 21 different schools.
Our girl's rugby section, which started 10 years ago, has now grown to over a hundred players with U11s, U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s teams. We have girls representing Kent and Surrey county teams and two have progressed to be playing at the top level Allianz Premier 15s League. With this growth in our girls rugby section we need to be able to provide appropriate changing facilities for the girls, visiting girls' teams and the ever growing community of female referees. We are therefore hoping to raise £75,000 for the fit out of a girls changing rooms in our soon to be built new pavilion.
We would ask you to please contribute to this worthy project. For donations over £100 we will add your name(s) or company name to a plaque on the wall of the changing room building. For donations of between £200 and £300 you can have a peg in the changing rooms named with a plaque. For donations of between £300 and £500 you can get free hire of the Clubhouse Bar for up to 5 hours on any available afternoon or evening. For £600 or more we will add in a free keg of beer! For donations of £750 or more you can name a tree complete with a dedication plaque beside the tree. We are planting 15 trees as part of this project, one could be named after you!
Girls rugby is becoming increasingly popular with more and more girls taking up the sport. Rugby is an active team sport that can help with self-confidence, resilience, leadership, respect and helps girls build friendships outside school. What makes rugby unique is that there is room for everyone. With so may girls losing interest in physical sporting activity as teenagers it's important to give them a safe and enjoyable place they can benefit from. Lack of availability of showers is one of the prime reasons teenage girls give up sport. With a dedicated girls changing facility we will be able to provide them with a better environment for them to enjoy their rugby.
We have an active schools community outreach programme with coaches volunteering at local state schools. This community outreach programme gives children at local state schools an introduction to rugby, it gets them active and many go on to play at the Club. Our community outreach programme supports young people and their families, providing the young person with a safe, fun space to express themselves, allowing them to learn, develop and grow, both on the pitch and off it.
