Odiham District Scouts has 27 young people selected to attend one of two fantastic opportunities in 2003: the World Scout Jamboree in Korea or an International Camp in Europe known as ‘Project 23’.
In addition, two adults were selected to be unit leaders at the World Jamboree and a third will be a leader at Project 23. The cost per participant to attend these events is considerable: around £4,000 for the Jamboree and £2,000 for Project 23.
Odiham District has encouraged families to work collaboratively to raise the total – around £80,000.
From leaf-sweeping and litter-picking to refreshment provision and event organisation, Group 23 will strive to collectively raise the funds needed while supporting the community and helping others- Scouting in action.
