Ocean Themed Community Art Exhibition

Aim: We are raising awareness of our daily impact on the ocean and the need for healthy oceans. Using art, food and community engagement

We are hosting a marine based art exhibition, a call to all artists of all abilities. It will be hosted in the town hall and opened by the mayor. We need to raise money to pay for the mounting systems needed to protect the art work and pay for the premier catering. During the premier we hope to be visited by many of the local dignitaries and the contributing artists. We will have a host speaker discussing the importance of marine conservation and the rational fort he project raising awareness but focused entirely on the title of the exhibition

During the run up the the exhibition we are providing educational assembly to local schools where we introduce the importance of the healthy sea and our daily impact on it through our pathways to the sea. The groups are then encouraged to create art inspired by the assembly and  enter it in the exhibition.
