Village community pub needs your help please.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for  millions of British small businesses, which, after 10 weeks has been very challenging for businesses to survive. you can help your local community pub.  We have fallen through the gaps in the Small Business Government Grant Scheme without a safety net! Because the takeover was in 24th march, I wasn't the rate payer on or before 11th March we cannot get any grants or government assistance in any way! 

Yes of course I had enough funding to support the business for a few months and to purchase new equipment for the kitchen, if trading, however having already invested a considerable amount, personal savings etc on a mini refurb, obviously not knowing how bad this pandemic was going to be or that the lockdown would last so long,  (hopefully you will notice the difference when you visit us!) the funds have just about gone. Our Landlords have been brilliant, no rent, but the bills for running costs keep coming! I have tried every other avenue available without success, even contacting our local M.P. And writing to the Prime Minister! 

Crowd funding seemed to be the only option left to me. ???? 

We want to ensure that we can keep the premises of your local pub running, (paying bills etc) and, when we are allowed to reopen we want to make sure we have the finances to do so, it is a beautiful community pub, I want to make it inviting and successful for all. 

This is not something I had considered doing however Crowdfunder are offering up their platform to allow all UK small businesses to pre-sell their meals, events, hotel bookings etc. for cash now on a promise to redeem these at a later date. I am looking forward to when we can operate again, Sunday Carveries, food, music nights, great beer and great atmosphere! 

I am not asking for charity, If you are able to help now, I am more than happy to offer a carvery meal (once the kitchen is running) in return, this offer is available for every donation. 

This pandemic has brought out the best and worst in people, I feel so humbled at the kindness of friends, family and many others, some of whom I have never met, donations of items, funds and time as well as other support. Looks like we only have to ride the storm for just a few weeks more! 

I have allocated some of the funds donated to purchase new garden benches. The garden is looking really pretty! 

I now Need to ensure enough funding for stock, sanitisers, and safety equipment. I want to thank everyone for their kindness and support so far, please remember I am offering meals in return for your support.
