We started working in 1 nightclub in Blackpool, after 2 and a half years we have decided we want to help more people not just the ones on our doorstep. from that we started thinking that our town needs Medical staff ranging from first aid welfare assistants all the way through to HCPC registered paramedics to ensure theyre safe on a night out. As a team we saw and treated people in some horrible states in the one nightclub but we knew people were not being looked after properly out on the street either waiting for ambulances for hours due to pressures in the NHS, or just simply ignored as they were 'just drunk' well our idea takes the entire point of us being in one nightclub and expands it ten fold, working out in the community both on foot and in rapid response cars fully kitted our we can: reduce pressure on local ambulance services by seeing and treating on scene rather then having to wait for an ambulance to transport the patient, we could refer and signpost to alternative pathways of care, we can also ensure that nobody is left alone, vulnerable and exposed to the elements.
Our aim is fairly simple: we want everyone sleeping in their own beds safely at the end of a night out
