We're still collecting donations
On the 1st April 2023 we'd raised £10,020 with 94 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We need new facilities ! The growth of our juniors and now ladies & girls teams means that we desperately need this new 2 lane training bay

On the 1st April 2023 we'd raised £10,020 with 94 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Phase 1 of the practice facilities will be the foundations, specialist base, flooring and net structure but this needs to be expanded in the future to a 2nd phase when finances allow to include a surrounding security cage and access gates plus additional features such as animal protectors and site screen sheets
Great Preston Cricket Club is a community club based on the outskirts on Leeds. We run two senior teams in the Bradford Premier League, 4 junior sides plus girls side(s) in the Leeds & Wetherby Junior League plus a newly formed ladies side in the new West Yorkshire Softball League.
We are a not for profit organisation that rely on the hard work of a small band of brilliant volunteers.
Our ever increasing playing numbers means that we are outgrowing our playing facilities and in particular the training facilities that are available to all our sides. We desperately need a new 2 lane training bay to improve our training options and after a couple of years of planning have agreed that this project will definitely go ahead this winter/spring.
Any money that you can spare towards the project would be really appreciated and make a massive difference to our club.
We pride ourselves on being a hub for the local community. This project will create a new training facility that will encourage more and more kids and seniors to get involved and become part of our growing club aswell as providing a new excellent facility to improve training options.
We are a small not for profit organisation and rather than looking for a huge grant to fund an ECB accredited system we wanted to be more realistic and work within our means including doing as much of the manual side of this ourselves to not only keep costs down but bring us together and develop the project internally. This crowdfunding system allows us not only to reach out for donations but also hopefully receive additional funding through a "matching" system by organisations such as Sport England to reward our efforts.
On top of that, the pandemic has hit all organisations and we are no different in the amount of lost revenue we've had from things like social events etc ... which is hopefully something we will now start to see revived.
The funds raised will be 100% spent on this project. As part of Phase 1 the costs of specialist materials such as matting, base, cage etc are around £8000 and then the additional groundwork and materials is around £2000. If we manage to raise enough money then phase 2 would include additional security fencing and gates with things such as animal protectors and sight screens added "luxuries".
